The 55th NAACP Image Awards nominations were revealed, featuring top nods for artists such as Usher, Victoria Monét, Ayo Edebiri, and Colman Domingo. Victoria Monét led the music category with six nominations, including Outstanding New Artist, Outstanding Female Artist, and Outstanding Album for “Jaguar II.” Usher, set to perform at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, received five nominations, including Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album for “Boyfriend.”

Ayo Edebiri dominated the television and streaming categories with nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for “The Bear” and an Outstanding Guest Performance nod for “Abbott Elementary.” “Abbott Elementary” cast members Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, and Sheryl Lee Ralph also earned nominations in their respective categories.

Colman Domingo secured three nominations in the motion picture categories, including Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for “Rustin,” Outstanding Supporting Actor for “The Color Purple,” and the prestigious Entertainer of the Year award. Other contenders for Entertainer of the Year include Halle Bailey, Keke Palmer, Usher, and Fantasia Barrino.

Notable figures like Teyana Taylor, Denzel Washington, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Sterling K. Brown, Taraji P. Henson, and Issa Rae are also in the running for awards. Netflix and Amazon received multiple nominations, with Netflix earning 55 nods for movies like “They Cloned Tyrone” and “Rustin,” while Amazon secured 27 nominations for projects like “American Fiction” and “Creed III.”

Public voting for the categories is open on NAACPImageAwards.net, and the winners will be announced during a two-hour live special airing on Saturday, March 16, at 8 p.m. ET on BET and CBS.
