In the race for The Associated Press 2023 NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Offensive Player of the Year awards, Lamar Jackson, Christian McCaffrey, and Dak Prescott emerge as the standout finalists.

The ultimate winners of these prestigious accolades will be unveiled at the NFL Honors ceremony on Feb. 8. A nationwide panel comprising 50 media members, actively covering the league, concluded their voting before the onset of the playoffs.

Among the contenders for the MVP title are Bills quarterback Josh Allen and 49ers QB Brock Purdy alongside Lamar Jackson. Meanwhile, the Offensive Player of the Year category features Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb in addition to McCaffrey.

Lamar Jackson: Lamar Jackson, the 2019 NFL MVP, showcased a remarkable season, amassing 3,678 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and an additional 821 rushing yards with five scores. His stellar performance guided the Baltimore Ravens to a league-best 14-4 record, and he played a pivotal role in securing a playoff victory over Houston. Jackson earned 45 of the 50 votes for AP first-team All-Pro.

Dak Prescott: Dak Prescott’s exceptional season saw him accumulate 4,516 passing yards, 36 TD passes, and an impressive 105.9 passer rating, leading the Dallas Cowboys to an NFC East title. Despite his remarkable efforts, the Cowboys were eliminated in the wild-card round by Green Bay.

Christian McCaffrey: Christian McCaffrey, a unanimous choice for AP All-Pro, claimed the NFL rushing title with 1,459 yards and contributed 14 rushing touchdowns for the San Francisco 49ers. His versatility extended to 564 receiving yards and seven receiving scores.

The winners of these awards will be announced at the NFL Honors ceremony, where the spotlight will shine on the outstanding contributions and achievements of these standout athletes.
